The President of Ghana has already started to make Ghanaians lose hope in him and also regret voting for him to be President. This hidden truth revealed by Captain Smart on Onua Maakye on Onua TV today makes it even worse so far as the Presidency is concerned.
According to Captain Smart, the Presidency alone have been allocated a whooping amount of GHC3 billion which is equivalent to over $488 million. This money is going to be given to the Presidency alone. And the shocking thing about this is even that of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Energy have been reduced.
“He revealed that there are some reasons to this increment in the budget allocation to the Presidency. This is because in the first place, Nana Akufo-Addo knows he will lose the election in 2024 and hence needs to gather some money for himself before he leaves power.”
“Secondly, some of the presidential staffers have been added to the article 71 people. Now we have the Ministry of parliamentary affairs and their salaries have to be increased. So some of this money will be given to them as their salaries. A ministry whose office is at the jubilee house.”
“One thing the President have to get straight is, we cannot go and borrow money for him to chop for free. We will not do that. How can you increase money allocated to the presidency from GHC1 billion to GHC3 billion. This is unacceptable, and it is corruption at its peak.”
“Even America with a population of over 300 million has an annual budget of over $700 million for the White House. Mind you our population is just about 10% of that of America. But our budget for the Jubilee house is about 80% of that of America. This should tell you the kind of leaders we have now in Ghana.
