SSC Napoli will take on Parma Calcio in an Italian Serie A match at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona on January 31.

The Little Donkeys succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Hellas Verona away in their last league match which was played on January 24.

The defeat ended Napoli’s two-match unbeaten run in this competition having registered two successive wins.

They snapped their two-match winless run at home in Serie A when they defeated Fiorentina in their last game at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Meanwhile, Parma suffered a 2-0 defeat to Sampdoria away in their last league match which was played on January 24.

The defeat extended the Crusaders’ winless run to 10 matches in this competition having recorded four draws and six defeats.
They are also winless in their last four away matches in Serie A having registered two successive defeats and two draws on the road.

Roberto D’Aversa, the Parma coach, says they need to work on and improve the physical side of things following their defeat to Sampdoria.
“Today we didn’t deserve to fall two behind. We need to think about the reasons why we’re not winning games,” D’Aversa said.
“Our position in the league is something we need to consider because we’re playing to avoid relegation, so in moments of difficulty we need to try to pick up even a point if we can.
“We need to work on and improve the physical side of things, but we must also make progress mentally too.”
The last meeting between Napoli and Parma in a league match was on 20 September 2020.

Napoli secured a 2-0 win over Parma in an encounter which was played at the Stadio San Paolo (now known as Estadio Diego Armando Maradona).
