Constable Philip Tuoyin, a police officer assigned to the Nadowli Police Station, has been reported deceased following a tragic accident.
According to sources, he died in a car accident on the highway between Lawra and Babile.
He is said to have been rushed to Lawra Government Hospital where he was receiving treatment but passed on.
His death has left many in shock.
In recent times, the Ghana Police Service has recorded several deaths caused by road accidents across the country.
The worrying trend is having a dire effect on policing in general as the ratio of the security personnel to the civilians keeps dwindling.
