Athletic Bilbao will face off with Getafe CF in a Spanish La Liga match at the San Mames Barriaon January 25.
This will be the 32nd meeting between Bilbao and Getafe across all competitions since 2004.
Bilbao have the edge as they have recorded 10 wins compared to Getafe’s nine victories, while 12 games ended in a draw.

The last meeting between the two teams in La Liga was on 29 November 2020.
The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in a match which was played at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
Meanwhile, Bilbao suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to FC Barcelona in their last home game in the league which took place on 6 January 2021.
It was the Lions’ third defeat in their last five home games in La Liga, while the other two matches ended in a win.

Inaki Williams, the Bilbao striker, says their recent win over Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espana final proves that they can defeat any team.
“I’m very happy. But I still haven’t processed what we just did,” Williams said.
“We showed we can compete with any other team. They couldn’t knock us down. Personally, I’m very happy. When I needed to turn up, I was there and the ball went in.
“It’s the reward for all the work I’ve been doing. I think we’re deserved winners of this Super Cup.”
Meanwhile, Getafe thrashed Eibar 3-1 in their last away match in the league which was played on 11 January 2021.
It was the Deep Blues’ second win in their last three games on the road in La Liga, while the other game ended in a defeat.
