The government’s objective, according to the Ministry of Finance, is to assist hardworking individuals, build local enterprises, and support those that already exist.
According to the government, releasing the potential of Ghanaian entrepreneurs will serve as the cornerstone for progress.
From a policy perspective, we believe that unleashing the potential of our entrepreneurs will serve as the basis for growth, while the government uses the tax and regulatory levers at its disposal to guarantee that the benefits of growth are transferred to those who are less fortunate.
The government says it has completed the piloting of the flagship YouStart programme and ready to be rolled out in April this year.
