Bruno Senna, a former Formula One and Formula E driver, has joined Airspeeder, an electric flying car racing series, as a development pilot and worldwide ambassador. He’ll compete in Airspeeder’s future remotely piloted events ahead of the company’s EXA Racing Series, which will debut in 2023 and feature piloted flying vehicles capable of speeds of up to 125 mph.
Senna raced in Formula One for Renault and Williams Racing from 2010 to 2012, then for Mahindra Racing in the Formula E electric car competition from 2014 to 2016. Ayrton Senna, the three-time Formula One world champion, is his uncle.

“As an Airspeeder pilot, I’m enormously excited to shape the place and space for the industry to rapidly develop the hardware and digital technologies that will deliver on the promise of electric flying cars,” Bruno Senna said in a statement.
NASCAR mentioned the possibility of flying car exhibition events in a fan survey it conducted last year. Also, organizers of the 2024 Paris Olympics are planning to offer flying taxis to shuttle fans during the Games.
