The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed that the date for its National Delegates Congress to elect new national officers has not changed.

The party claims that reports of a date change are false.

According to General Secretary John Boadu, the party will hold its election from July 14 to July 16, 2022.

“The election will take place on the scheduled date. We have no plans to change the dates. Any reports of a date change are false.”

“They will be held in Accra as planned,” he added.

Meanwhile, the party has rescheduled its Polling station elections originally slated for April 24, 2022, to April 28, 2022,  to be held between April 28, 2022 and May 2, 2022 due to recent chaos that marred the process.
