Police arrested six armed robbers who forced passengers to strip naked on a bus.

Six suspected armed robbers have been apprehended after stripping naked and robbing a bus crew and passengers of over $20,000 in cash and other valuables.

According to reports, the suspected armed robbers were apprehended after an unmanned aircraft tracked them down (drone).

The accused armed robbers are believed to be between the ages of 29 and 41, according to reports from the Zimbabwe Republic Police.

Some of the stolen items have already been recovered by the police.

Between November 23 and December 14, the armed robbers were wanted in connection with a number of armed robberies, unauthorized entry, and thefts in the province.

In the latest incident, the armed robbers are reported to have boarded the bus along the capital’s highway, after which they drew their weapons, including a firearm, and pounced on the passengers.

The robbers are said to have forced their victims to take off their clothes at gunpoint before robbing them of cash and other valuables.

The passengers were all cross-borders travelling to Zambia to purchase goods for resale ahead of Christmas.
