The Black Queens of Ghana have landed in Lagos, Nigeria, ahead of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Football Tournament scheduled to kick start on Monday, September 13th.
The Black Queens and the technical team departed the shores of Ghana in the early hours of Monday, September 13, for the invitational tourney which forms part of Coach Mercy Quarcoo-Tagoe’s preparations for the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The team is currently lodging at the Eko Hotels in Lagos and would have a recovery session this afternoon at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium.
Four foreign-based players, Grace Asantewaa, Wasila Diwura Soale, Portia Boakye and Priscilla Adubea are expected to join the rest of the squad later today for the competition.
The Aisha Buhari Cup is a six nations Invitational Women’s Football Tournament involving Cameroun, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Mali, and host Nigeria and Ghana is paired in Group A with Nigeria, Morocco, and Mali.
